Re: Personal issues
One issue seems to be a disagreement with the way I've organized the topics, in the threads I've started.
1. Making conferences more accessible and friendly to more people
2. Fate of the original Atheism Plus movement(s)
3. Atheist discussions about social justice?
4. Jim's reactions to a curious incident
5. Theories about the global economy
6. Ideas for a safer Atheism Plus forum
7. Promoting support of A+ purposes and initiatives
Those are all separate topics in my mind, and I don't see any useful way to combine any of them. Maybe #2 and #3? If anyone has any suggestions, please post them.

Re: Personal issues
I have no personal issues with you - and I've only seen one person complain about what you're doing. That's their view - but you don't need to invite some kind of general discussion on whether they were right or wrong!
Personally I'm enjoying the discussions and the flurry of sudden activity after a couple of months with nothing. I don't think we need to worry about whether it should have been 6 threads or 7.

Null, I'm planning to invite that person to discuss his personal issues with me here, rather than dragging them across other discussions.

Those don't look like your only choices to me. I'm guessing that you can be more resourceful and creative than that, if you choose to. Anyway, I'm not thinking of you as a bad guy now. For a few minutes you looked pretty contemptible to me, after I saw all that off-topic fire and smoke about my character and personality, and pretending to read my heart and mind, but I got over that after I browsed through some of your other posts.
Your first fire and smoke post stung me a little. The second one just bored and annoyed me, and I decided it wasn't worth the trouble and annoyance to try to search for the meat in it. That's why I said that if you wanted me to read your posts, you would need to leave out all the fire and smoke. Then I decided that if you had some personal issues with me, I would like to try to clear them up, but I wanted to do it in a separate thread, so it wouldn't drag those discussions off topic.

andThe 'atheist misogyny' meme is easily spread. Likewise the 'atheist racism' meme. Innuendo is the best way of spreading these memes, and I don't trust the motives on anyone who seems intent on spreading them however casually. Especially casually.
I think I might be getting it. It looks like I'm endorsing what some people have been saying about misogyny and harassment at conferences? I'll see what I can do to clear that up.If somebody makes a claim they've got to be prepared to back it up.
Now I've got the choice of either being told I've hurt your feelings and I'm a bad guy, or agree with you that, because people on the A+ forum say that there's these big problems with these conferences to which they (and you) have never been then there must be.
