Checking your unprivilege

There's a perception on "the other space" that everyone on this forum is a well-off white straight able cis-man. I don't believe there is anything wrong with being any of those things, but I was interested to see whether that is really our demographic.

Please note that I do not think being "unprivileged" in any one way gives you any excuses to assume you know what it is like to be another way. That is not the point of this thread. Also, let's just make the assumption here that privilege is a thing.

So:

I am a white man. I am from a bottom-rung (state support) poor background, I have a pair of hidden disabilities, and I am not straight.

I am a well-off, white gay male. I was born in extreme poverty.
